China’s Veminsyn raises $14M with L’Oréal backing

Chinese biomanufacturing company Veminsyn announced it has completed a funding round, raising nearly 100 million RMB ($14 million). The round saw participation from global beauty giant L’Oréal Group and Chinese consumer goods company Nice Group. Alongside the investment, Veminsyn and L’Oréal have established a formal partnership, with plans to collaborate on the development of bioactive ingredients, large-scale production, and the application of low-carbon manufacturing technologies. Founded in 2021, Veminsyn specializes in using AI and biosynthesis to develop high-value bioactive materials.
