Anta Sports buys Jack Wolfskin for $290M

Anta Sports announced yesterday it will acquire German outdoor brand Jack Wolfskin in an all-cash deal worth $290 million, with the transaction expected to close by mid- to late-2025. The acquisition marks a major step in Anta’s globalization strategy and deepens its reach in the outdoor sports market. Founded in 1981 and known for its Texapore waterproof technology, Jack Wolfskin holds a strong presence in Europe, especially Germany, and has been expanding in China. Anta emphasized the brand’s mass-market positioning will complement its premium labels like Arc’teryx and Salomon, enabling coverage across a broader consumer spectrum. Post-acquisition, Anta plans to integrate supply chains, share innovation resources, and unify member systems across brands.
