Bentley’s revenue drops 10% despite higher per-vehicle sales

Bentley reported a 10% drop in 2024 revenue to 2.65 billion euros ($2.89 billion), with operating profit falling 37% to 373 million euros ($407 million). Despite the decline, revenue per vehicle rose 10% YoY, driven by strong demand for customization. CEO Frank-Steffen Walliser emphasized Bentley’s focus on “value over volume” and confirmed the company will no longer disclose sales figures. He cited China as a key but challenging market. CFO Jan-Henrik Lafrentz stated Bentley would pass potential U.S. tariffs on imported cars to consumers if implemented. The company’s first electric vehicle is set for launch in 2026, with plans for full electrification by 2035.
