Tesla launched its Shanghai Megafactory on February 11, marking the production of its first Megapack, a large-scale energy storage system. The Megapack can store over 3,900 kWh of electricity, addressing the challenge of renewable energy’s intermittent nature. This factory is part of Tesla’s “Secret Master Plan Part 3” to accelerate the shift to sustainable energy. It’s Tesla’s first energy storage facility outside the US, and production will ramp up this quarter.
