Lanvin debuts Peter Copping era amid 7% decline
Lanvin, the world’s oldest operating couture house founded in 1889, has ushered in a new era with Peter Copping as its artistic director. Copping’s debut collection at Paris Fashion Week, inspired by founder Jeanne Lanvin, pays tribute to her unique style by incorporating iconic elements like capes, draping, and the house’s signature “robe de style.” While Lanvin’s parent company, the Lanvin Group, saw a slight 1% turnover increase in 2023, the brand itself experienced a 7% YoY decline. Copping’s Fall/Winter 2025 collection for Lanvin, featuring 62 looks, blends modernity with tradition, ranging from eveningwear to daywear, and is available through global boutiques, high-end department stores, and online platforms.
