Ralph Lauren announces key executive appointments

On January 21, Ralph Lauren announced that Bob Ranftl, currently CEO of North America, will succeed Jane Nielsen as chief operating officer, effective March 30. Ranftl has led North America since 2015, driving key strategic initiatives, including urban expansion and adjustments to wholesale channels. At the same time, Mercedes Abramo will become CEO of North America, joining the company on March 1. Formerly Cartier’s deputy chief commercial officer, Abramo brings extensive retail and leadership experience. Both will report directly to Patrice Louvet, president and CEO of Ralph Lauren.
