BYD has partnered with Game Science, the developer of the successful video gameBlack Myth: Wukong, to become its exclusive automotive brand partner and enhance its marketing efforts. Announced on October 20, the partnership focuses on digitizing Chinese heritage sites to aid restoration, starting with cultural artifacts in Shanxi, where the game is primarily set. Launched on August 20, Black Myth: Wukong quickly gained popularity, selling over 10 million copies within three days and attracting significant attention for its cultural representation. BYD aims to leverage this partnership to bolster its international presence, following other marketing initiatives like becoming the official partner of Euro 2024.
