Volkswagen released its Q3 sales report for this year on October 11. The data showed that global deliveries in the first three quarters totaled 6.524 million vehicles, a 2.8% YoY decline. In the third quarter, Volkswagen’s deliveries in China dropped to 711,500 units, contributing to a global decline to 2.176 million vehicles. Volkswagen attributed its challenges in China to competitors offering more competitive models. In less than three months, Volkswagen has downgraded its annual delivery outlook for the second time, now expecting to deliver around 9 million vehicles this year.
