Li Auto led sales of electric vehicles (EVs) in China in weeks 39 and 40 of 2024, delivering 14,200 and 8,700 vehicles, respectively, bringing its cumulative deliveries close to the milestone of 1 million. Meanwhile, Xiaomi matched its best ranking with 3,800 sales in both weeks, setting an ambitious target of producing and delivering 20,000 vehicles in October, which requires a weekly average of about 5,400. The sales rankings fluctuated, with Zeekr, Xpeng, and Nio also seeing notable activity. Despite fluctuations due to the National Day holiday, many brands accumulated significant orders during the period, indicating ongoing intense competition in the EV market.
