BYD partners with Huawei for smart driving tech

BYD’s Equation Leopard has entered into a smart driving cooperation agreement with Huawei in Shenzhen. The partnership aims to conduct joint research and development on intelligent driving systems for BYD’s Equation Leopard vehicles, focusing on the soon-to-be-released Leopard 8 model. The vehicle will be equipped with Huawei’s Qian Kun Intelligent Driving ADS 30, marking the development of an exclusive intelligent driving solution for rugged vehicles. In terms of sales, BYD reported that its new energy passenger vehicle sales reached 1.607 million units in the first half of this year, an increase of 28.8% YoY. Notably, overseas sales surpassed 203,000 units, up 173.8%. BYD’s new energy vehicles are available in 88 countries and regions, covering over 400 cities globally.
