Chinese outbound travel doubles for National Day holiday
According to data from the Qunar platform, as of September 12, international flight bookings for China’s National Day holiday (October 1) have doubled compared to the same period last year. Bookings for outbound travel cover 1,597 cities across 144 countries, with more than half of the newly added destination countries being in Africa. Additionally, the number of orders from residents in third-tier and lower-tier cities has increased 2.5 times YoY, accounting for nearly 20% of the total.
