AliExpress Korea aims for 17M active users

At a media briefing in Hangzhou, Ray Zhang, head of AliExpress Korea, announced plans to capture over half of South Korea’s e-commerce users within three to five years. Currently ranked third in the market, AliExpress had 6.7 million active users in August, and aims to increase this to 17 million. The company plans to launch cross-border exports this month, targeting annual sales of Korean products at 10 trillion won ($7.5 billion). AliExpress will also establish a logistics center in South Korea, with details to be revealed next year.
