Chaos erupts as LV’s Shanghai chocolate boutique faces high demand
After opening its chocolate boutique in Shanghai, Louis Vuitton has seen a surge in appointment demand, with some customers resorting to scalpers. LV's official customer service confirmed that the boutique is the brand's only one in China and that chocolates can only be reserved through the official mini-program, on-site, or via exclusive sales associates. The chocolates range from 240 RMB (about $33) to several thousand RMB (about $400+) per box, but appointments only grant entry to the store, not the availability of specific chocolates. Currently, there are no plans for additional stores in China.
