Hotel giant H World Group reports 11.2% revenue growth in Q2

Chinese hotel giant H World Group reported an 11.2% YoY increase in revenue to 6.1 billion RMB ($846 million) for the second quarter of 2024, meeting the high end of its guidance. Despite a 2% decline in Legacy-Huazhu’s blended RevPAR (Revenue Per Available Room) due to a high ADR (Average Daily Rate) base from the previous year, the occupancy rate improved by 0.7 percentage points, reflecting strong performance amid rapid hotel network expansion. The company’s net income attributable to H World Group Limited rose to RMB1.1 billion ($147 million), up from 1.0 billion RMB ($139 million) in the same quarter last year and 659 million RMB ($92 million) in the previous quarter.
