Armani, Dior face probe over alleged unethical practices
According to AFP, Italy’s competition regulator, AGCM, has launched an investigation into the Italian Armani Group and French luxury brand Dior, alleging that their suppliers have been involved in low wages and overwork. The regulator also indicated that both Armani and Dior might have made false statements about their ethical and social responsibility practices, particularly regarding the working conditions and compliance of their suppliers. In response, Dior stated it has suspended orders with the implicated suppliers and strongly condemned these actions as contrary to its values and code of conduct. Armani has said it will fully cooperate with the investigation and believes it will result in a positive outcome.
