‘Vogue China’ appoints 1st male editor-in-chief

Rocco Liu has been appointed as the new Editor-in-Chief of Vogue China, becoming the magazine’s third editor-in-chief in mainland China since 2005 and notably its first male editor. Liu previously served as GQ China’s new media director and stepped into the role of acting editor-in-chief following the departure of Zeng Ming in February 2020. He was officially promoted to editor-in-chief in July 2021. Creative director Cui Yanyu will assume the role of interim editor-in-chief at GQ China as Liu transitions to Vogue China.
