Volvo Cars has appointed Duan Jianjun as President and CEO of its Greater China operations, effective immediately. He joins the global core management team and reports to the China board, overseeing R&D, production, supply chain, and sales. Duan previously served as President and CEO of Mercedes-Benz Sales China from 2023, becoming the first Chinese executive to hold that role at a top-tier global luxury automaker. He began his automotive career as a Volvo service technician over 30 years ago.
