Beiersdorf flags H2 price hikes amid Middle East crisis

Beiersdorf may raise prices in the second half of 2026 if the Middle East crisis intensifies cost pressures, CFO Astrid Hermann said Tuesday, noting the conflict has already halved March sales growth for Nivea and Eucerin in the region — which accounts for 3% of group revenue. The company posted a 4.6% organic Q1 revenue drop to 2.48 billion euros ($2.92 billion), from 2.69 billion euros ($3.17 billion) a year earlier. Nivea fell 7% organically on European retailer pricing disputes, while luxury brand La Prairie declined 14.9% from disruptions at Saks Fifth Avenue and in China’s travel retail. Eucerin and Aquaphor posted an 8.2% sales gain.
