South Korea’s four largest entertainment companies — Hybe, JYP, SM, and YG — have announced a joint venture to plan and stage Fanomenon, a large-scale K-pop festival, in December 2027. Described as South Korea’s answer to Coachella, the festival will feature artists from all four agencies and expand into a global touring format across major cities from May 2028. The venture requires approval from South Korea’s Fair Trade Commission and is structured as a public-private partnership to promote K-culture globally. The concept was first introduced by JYP Entertainment founder J.Y. Park at a presidential committee ceremony in October 2025.
