Accor has opened Sofitel Changzhou Hi-Tech District, the group’s 800th hotel in Greater China and Sofitel’s debut in the city. Located in Changzhou North High-speed Rail New City, the property features 293 guest rooms, over 4,000 sqm of event space, multiple dining venues, and a poolside spa with lake views. The hotel holds LEED certification; the surrounding development incorporates a rainwater recycling system controlling 76% of annual runoff. Accor Greater China CEO Kent Zhu said the opening reflects the group’s push into the Yangtze River Delta, with Greater China currently accounting for 30% of Accor’s global signed pipeline.
