BMW unveils China-only iX3 LWB ahead of Beijing Auto Show

BMW has unveiled the China-produced iX3 Long Wheelbase, an electric SUV built exclusively for the Chinese market, ahead of its global debut at the 2026 Beijing Auto Show. The extended-wheelbase variant adds 108mm, bringing the wheelbase to 3,005mm — longer than the combustion-engine X3 LWB and matching the current X5’s footprint. The dual-motor setup delivers 463 hp, enabling 0-100km/h acceleration in 4.9 seconds. A 108.7 kWh battery provides a CLTC range exceeding 900km, with fast charging adding 427km in 10 minutes. Localized features include HarmonyOS support, Momenta’s navigation-assisted driving, and AI models from Alibaba and DeepSeek.
