Courrèges, French luxury fashion house known for its futuristic designs, has announced that artistic director Nicolas Di Felice will step down, with a successor expected to be named next week. The Belgian designer joined the house in 2020 after working under Nicolas Ghesquière at Balenciaga and Louis Vuitton, with a brief stint at Dior. During five years at the helm, Di Felice revitalized the brand’s 1960s Space Age heritage, introduced menswear, and upgraded the fragrance line. Courrèges — owned by François Pinault’s family holding company Artémis since late 2017 — praised his restoration of the house’s boldness and modernity. Di Felice is widely expected to become creative director of Alaïa.
