Tmall Green Life has partnered with Alibaba Foundation and Youku Documentary to launch “Women for Women,” an International Women’s Day initiative. Helmed by writer-director Zhou Yijun and actress Yao Chen, the campaign’s short film uses dual narratives to spotlight women’s stories — one depicting the two collaborating on a charitable project, the other reimagining feminist icons Simone de Beauvoir and Virginia Woolf as “shadows of thought.” Highlighted initiatives include L’Oréal's advocacy for female scientists, Guerlain’s Women Beekeepers project in Yunnan, and Estée Lauder’s She Creates program for entrepreneurs.
