Mercedes-Benz slashes prices up to 10% in China

China’s Automobile Dealers Chamber announced Mercedes-Benz adjusted MSRP for several models on February 1, with average cuts around 10%. The reductions target the C-Class, GLC, and GLB models. The C 200 L dropped by approximately 33,000 RMB ($4,740), while the GLC 300 Coupe was cut by about 68,000 RMB ($9,770). The Chamber stated this move helps ease dealer liquidity pressure. BMW earlier slashed prices for multiple models effective January 1, 2026, with some cuts exceeding 300,000 RMB ($43,100). The i7 M70L flagship was cut by 301,000 RMB ($43,250). Industry focus now shifts to whether Audi will follow.
