Josh D’Amaro poised to lead Disney as next CEO

The Walt Disney Company’s board is reportedly close to appointing Josh D’Amaro, the chairman of its Parks, Experiences and Products division, as the next CEO, according to Bloomberg sources. The board is expected to vote imminently on the succession plan, which would end a three-year search to replace Bob Iger. Iger, who returned as CEO in 2022, is said to be planning to step down before his contract expires at the end of 2025. D’Amaro, 54, leads Disney’s most profitable business unit. He oversees a $60 billion global expansion of theme parks and cruise lines and led the $1.5 billion investment in Fortnite creator Epic Games.
