Chinese derma-brand FulQun has closed a strategic funding round with global investor IDG Capital. The deal highlights a significant shift in investor preference toward brands with deep scientific foundations rather than those built primarily on marketing. FulQun, founded in 2014 by a team with pharmaceutical experience, specializes in skincare for acne-prone skin. Over 12 years, the brand has built a reputation among dermatologists and developed a dual-channel network spanning thousands of hospitals and retail outlets. Following the funding, FulQun plans to deepen its research on core ingredients and expand its product portfolio.
