Philippines grants Chinese tourists 14-day visa waiver
The Philippines began allowing Chinese nationals 14-day visa-free entry starting January 16 for tourism and business purposes. The Department of Foreign Affairs announced the policy aligns with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s directive to facilitate trade, investments and tourism. The non-extendable stay is valid only through Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Manila and Mactan-Cebu International Airport. Travelers must present a passport valid for six months, confirmed hotel booking and return ticket. China ranks among top tourist sources to the Philippines despite declining arrivals in 2025.
