BMW sales dip 4.1% in Q4 amid China slowdown

German automaker BMW reported a 4.1% YoY decline in global vehicle deliveries for Q4 2024, totaling 667,981 units. The drop was primarily due to falling demand in its core U.S. and Chinese markets, which saw decreases of 4.6% and 15.9%, respectively. For the full year 2024, BMW’s total sales edged up 0.5% to over 2.46 million vehicles. Electrified models saw strong growth, with annual deliveries rising 8.3%. European markets performed particularly well, with all-electric vehicle sales surging 28.2% in 2024. BMW’s sales board member Jochen Goller acknowledged the quarterly challenges but highlighted the group’s progress in electrification. The company will focus on launching its Neue Klasse electric models in Europe in 2026.
