Burberry drops Chinese New Year campaign, capsule

British luxury house Burberry has released its Chinese New Year campaign, starring brand ambassadors Chen Kun, Tang Wei, Wu Lei, and Zhang Jingyi. The campaign, directed by Duan Aijun, portrays scenes of reunion and celebration in an urban setting, incorporating imagery of the horse to honor the upcoming Year of the Horse. A corresponding capsule collection highlights a reinterpreted version of Burberry’s classic Equestrian Knight Design. Rendered in a watercolor style, the emblem appears in red tones and on the signature Burberry check through embroidery and appliqué techniques. For its store displays, Burberry partnered with British wallpaper brand de Gournay to create window installations across China and Asia-Pacific, featuring hand-painted art on traditional rice paper.
