According to industry sources, current MM6 Maison Margiela Creative Director Heikki Salonen may take on a key role at outdoor sports brand Salomon. It is reported that Heikki Salonen left Margiela earlier this week, with no official announcement yet regarding his start date at Salomon. Salonen joined the MM6 design team in 2013, having previously worked at Erdem and Diesel. Salomon and MM6 have collaborated on collections since the Fall/Winter 2022 season. In recent years, Salomon has been strengthening its presence in the fashion space, having opened a sport-fashion concept store on the Champs-Élysées in Paris last year.
