Chanel reopens renovated Shanghai Plaza 66 flagship

Chanel reopened its flagship boutique at Shanghai’s Plaza 66 following a comprehensive renovation, 24 years after the store first opened. The redesigned three-story space by architect Peter Marino features dedicated sections for ready-to-wear, handbags, and footwear, plus new spaces for watches and fine jewelry. A central white stone staircase connects all floors, while a sculptural installation by French artist Jean-Michel Othoniel hangs in the atrium. The ground floor includes a distinct watch and fine jewelry salon finished in black with gold branding, showcasing Coco Crush, N°5 jewelry, J12, and Première watches.
