Hermès invests in Italian textile manufacturer Lanificio Colombo

French luxury house Hermès expanded its Italian supply chain by acquiring approximately 15% of Lanificio Colombo, a Piedmont-based textile manufacturer specializing in cashmere and noble fibers. The transaction forms part of Hermès’ vertical integration strategy to strengthen control over high-quality materials. The announcement comes as Hermès reported Q3 sales of 3.9 billion euros ($4.2 billion), up 5% YoY. To meet sustained demand, the group confirmed over 1 billion euros ($1.08 billion) in investments this year, including three new leather goods workshops in France.
