Tesla’s Europe sales collapsed in October

Tesla’s sales plummeted across major European markets in October, reversing a brief September rebound. New car registrations collapsed by 89% in Sweden, 86% in Denmark, 50% in Norway, and 48% in the Netherlands. In Spain, Tesla’s sales fell 31% even as the broader EV market surged 119%. The decline comes as Tesla’s aging model lineup faces competition from established manufacturers and Chinese rivals. In Denmark, it was outsold by BYD, Xpeng, and Zeekr. In Spain, Tesla’s 393 sales were dwarfed by MG (3,725) and BYD (2,806). Analysts cite increased EV choices and consumer backlash against CEO Elon Musk’s political activities as key factors.
