Hilton targets 320 Chinese cities with luxury focus
Hilton plans to expand its mainland China presence to over 320 destinations, focusing on lifestyle and luxury brands to meet evolving consumer demands. The U.S. hospitality group opened its second Waldorf Astoria in Shanghai this week, making the city the third globally with two such properties after Doha and Dubai. Hilton currently manages 888 outlets across 280 Chinese destinations, nearly sixfold the 150 it had in 2018. Recent signings include Waldorf Astoria Shenzhen, LXR Hotels & Resorts Tianjin, and Conrad Zhoushan.
