Hermès men’s director steps down after 37 years

French luxury house Hermès announced that Véronique Nichanian, its men’s artistic director, will step down after 37 years with the brand. One of the longest-serving creative directors in fashion, Nichanian will present her final collection in January. Sources indicate Hermès is likely to appoint an internal successor, with Benjamin Brett, one of Nichanian’s longtime deputies, considered a potential candidate. Nichanian joined Hermès in 1988, becoming one of the few women to lead a men’s division at a major luxury brand. Under her leadership, Hermès reported 15.2 billion euros ($16.3 billion) in revenue in 2024.
