Xinjiang ranked as China’s fastest-growing tourism destination in the first three quarters of 2025, according to a Trip.com Group forecast released at the “Hot Snow Xinjiang” winter tourism promotion event in Beijing. The region received 210 million visitors through online platforms, up 32.29% YoY, generating over 45 billion RMB ($6.2 billion) in revenue. For the upcoming winter season, Trip.com projects 70 million tourist visits through online platforms, representing 33% growth, with transaction value expected to reach 12 billion RMB ($1.65 billion). Popular winter destinations include Silkroad Mountain Resort, Sayram Lake, and Jiangjunshan Ski Resort. Mid-to-high-end hotel bookings grew 40% YoY, indicating consumption upgrades.
