Lanvin unveils new brand color inspired by founder

French fashion house Lanvin unveiled a new brand color, “Lanvin Blue,” inspired by founder Jeanne Lanvin’s lifelong fascination with the shade. Brighter and deeper than the house’s previous palette, the new tone will serve as a visual emblem for the brand. Lanvin collaborated with design duo M/M Paris on the color identity after working with them on a logo redesign in 2022. Jeanne Lanvin’s affinity for blue dates back to her visit to Florence a century ago, when she admired the sky depicted in Fra Angelico’s frescoes. She later developed 23 variations of blue in her Nanterre dye workshop. The newly defined Lanvin Blue debuts in the brand’s global packaging and has been incorporated into artistic director Peter Copping’s first accessories collection, launched alongside the Fall/Winter 2025 line.
