Mandarin Oriental inks agreement for Xi’an resort

Mandarin Oriental has signed an agreement with Shaanxi Wanzhong Group to open a new property in Xi’an. The hotel will be set within landscaped gardens developed over seven years and located next to the Qujiang Duyi urban forest. Architecture and interior design will be led by ACPV Architects Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel, known for projects including Mandarin Oriental Bodrum and Milan. The resort will feature 166 rooms and suites, each with a private outdoor terrace, and offer natural hot spring experiences. Seven standalone villas will include private terraces and pools. Facilities will include a Mandarin Oriental Spa, five distinct dining venues, indoor and outdoor children's play areas, an art gallery, a library, and boutique retail spaces.
