Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced plans to significantly expand its luxury and lifestyle portfolio in Asia-Pacific over the next five years, with nearly 90 new properties set to open, primarily between 2025 and 2026. Thompson Hotels will make its debut in the region, while Andaz, The Standard, and Park Hyatt will increase their presence in key markets such as Thailand, Malaysia, and Australia. Notable projects include Park Hyatt Kuala Lumpur in Southeast Asia’s tallest tower and a 30th-anniversary upgrade of Park Hyatt Tokyo. Since 2017, Hyatt has doubled its global luxury room count, tripled its resort capacity, and grown lifestyle rooms fivefold. As of Q1 2025, 64% of Hyatt’s hotels and resorts in Asia-Pacific fall within the luxury and premium segments.
