China’s Geely to debut EX5 SUV in the UK this fall
Geely Auto Group announced it will introduce its EX5 electric SUV to the U.K. market later this year, marking the debut of the Geely brand in the country. Known in China as the Galaxy E5, the vehicle will primarily target fleet buyers, with first deliveries expected in Q4. The EX5 is currently undergoing development for the U.K. market, with support from Lotus engineers. It will be the first of several planned affordable EVs for the region. Geely joins other Chinese brands like BYD (Build Your Dreams), XPeng, and Chery in entering the U.K., where EV demand remains strong. The company also plans to launch the EX5 in Australia, Brazil, and Poland. In 2023, Geely’s global sales rose over 32% to 2.18 million units.
