China adds Indonesia to visa-free transit policy

China added Indonesia to its 240-hour visa-free transit policy yesterday, expanding the program to cover 55 countries. The policy allows eligible travelers with valid international documents and onward tickets to transit through China visa-free for up to 10 days. The policy applies at 60 designated ports across 24 provinces, including major hubs like Beijing and Shanghai. The updated list includes 40 European countries, alongside nations from the Americas (eg, the U.S., Brazil), Oceania (Australia, New Zealand), and Asia (eg, Japan, Singapore, the UAE, and now Indonesia).
