Chinese automaker BYD (Build Your Dreams) announced the establishment of its European headquarters in Budapest, Hungary. Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó confirmed the project involves a total investment of 100 billion forints ($270 million). The initiative is expected to create 2,000 jobs. According to BYD, the new headquarters will oversee sales and after-sales services, vehicle certification and testing, and localized design and development.
