IHG to open 50 new hotels in Saudi Arabia by 2030
InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) announced plans to open 50 new hotels in Saudi Arabia by 2030, expanding its brand portfolio in the country from six to 13. IHG signed a deal with Saudi real estate firm Ashaad to develop three new properties in Al Khobar and Jeddah. Currently operating 45 hotels in cities like Mecca, Medina, and Riyadh, IHG aims to add 15,000 rooms over five years. The expansion aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 strategy, which emphasizes tourism growth and economic diversification.
