Japan’s Zozo acquires Lyst for $154m

Zozo, Japan’s leading fashion e-commerce platform, has agreed to acquire global fashion shopping platform Lyst for $154 million. The deal combines Lyst’s AI-powered fashion discovery serving 160 million annual shoppers with Zozo’s innovative measurement technologies like Zozomat and Zozoglass. Lyst will continue as a standalone London-based business within Zozo Group, with Emma McFerran remaining CEO. The acquisition provides Zozo entry into U.S., U.K. and European markets while allowing Lyst to leverage Zozo’s sizing technology and Japanese market presence. The transaction is expected to complete before the end of this month.
