China’s second largest online travel agency Tongcheng Travel released its financial results for the fourth quarter and full year of 2024. The company reported total revenue of 17.34 billion RMB ($2.43 billion), marking a 45.8% YoY increase. Adjusted EBITDA for the year reached 4.05 billion RMB ($567 million), up 29.7%, while adjusted net profit stood at 2.79 billion RMB ($391 million). Tongcheng Travel’s annual paying user base expanded to 240 million, with total service transactions reaching 1.93 billion, a 9.3% increase YoY. The company also saw significant growth in international travel, with outbound air ticket sales surging over 130% YoY and international hotel room nights increasing by more than 110%, driven by rising cross-border travel from residents in lower-tier cities.
