Tapestry sues Shein for Coach trademark infringement

Tapestry Group, the parent company of Coach, has sued Shein for trademark infringement, false advertising, and unfair competition. The lawsuit claims Shein sold products with logos similar to Coach’s trademark and failed to clearly label third-party sellers in search results, potentially misleading consumers. The case involves tote bags, handbags, shoes, hats, and wallets sold via Shein’s marketplace. A win for Coach could push Shein to tighten controls on counterfeit goods. Neither company has commented on the lawsuit.
