Chinese climber Yang Xiaohua stars in Arc’teryx documentary
Arc’teryx has released a documentary featuring Chinese climber Yang Xiaohua to mark International Women’s Day. The documentary highlights Yang’s preparation for the International Federation of Mountain Guides Associations (IFMGA) certification exams in Chamonix, France. Yang, a 2021 recipient of the Golden Rhino Award for Best Climbing Achievement, aims to become the first Chinese climber to earn this prestigious certification, which requires years of training and extreme testing. Arc’teryx is also launching a series of training sessions for female climbers in high-altitude areas of China, including Sichuan, Yunnan, and Tibet, focusing on climbing techniques and risk management.
