Chinese EV makers report February sales surge
Major Chinese automakers including BYD (Build Your Dreams), Great Wall Motors, and SAIC (Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation), reported significant YoY sales growth for February. BYD led with 322,800 new energy vehicles (NEVs) sold, marking a 92.52% increase for the first two months. Its overseas NEV sales reached 67,025 units. BAIC BluePark’s subsidiary saw a 391.99% surge in cumulative sales, while Great Wall Motors sold 77,900 vehicles, including 15,100 NEVs. SAIC reported a 41.90% rise in total sales, with NEV sales up 41.27%.
