EviDenS de Beauté, a French luxury skincare brand, opened its first brand store in Asia at Shanghai’s Zhangyuan last week. The new store, designed by founder Charles-Edouard Barthes and designer Philippe Coutureau, draws inspiration from the 13th-century Montfort Castle in southern France. It features elements such as a tea room from the castle’s master bedroom, a southern French-style fireplace, artwork by artists from the French Riviera, and a jasmine-filled courtyard. The 300 sqm space also incorporates Zhangyuan’s century-old Shanghai-style history and culture. The store’s opening was attended by representatives from Zhangyuan, the French Consulate, high-end consumers, content creators, and key brand partners.
