L’Oréal’s Shihyo brand exits China after brief run
L’Oréal’s luxury skincare brand, Shihyo, has announced the termination of its operations in China, confirming that all user data has been securely erased. The brand closed its Tmall overseas flagship store in China last month. Currently, Shihyo’s official presence has disappeared from major e-commerce platforms, including Douyin, Xiaohongshu, and JD. Launched in June 2022 through a joint venture between L’Oréal and Samsung Group, Shihyo was positioned as a high-end South Korean skincare brand and marked L’Oréal’s first joint venture in the skincare sector.
